By connecting designers with retailers and design-conscious consumers, Good Object aims to create meaningful opportunities for emerging brands while bringing unique and well-crafted objects into everyday spaces.
MEET HAZEL
Good Object was founded from a deep appreciation for design and the stories behind the objects we live with.
Before starting Good Object, I ran my own home décor and furniture business on Queen West in Toronto, where I curated, sourced, purchased, and sold design-focused products for the Canadian market. Through that experience, I developed hands-on expertise in buying, product sourcing, merchandising, and both B2B and B2C sales, while building a strong understanding of what resonates with retailers and consumers.
Having spent time across different cultures and markets, I have long been inspired by the creativity, craftsmanship, and individuality found in independent design brands around the world. With Good Object, my goal is to introduce distinctive international brands to new audiences and create meaningful connections between designers and Canadian retailers who value thoughtful, original design.
My background in buying, sourcing, sales, wholesale and retail allows me to approach brand representation from both sides of the relationship — understanding what makes a product compelling, what retailers need from their suppliers, and how to position a brand thoughtfully within the Canadian market.
I believe the objects we choose to surround ourselves with can shape how we experience our daily lives, and I hope Good Object can introduce pieces that feel both inspiring and lasting.
