WETHEKNOT

WETHEKNOT is an independent fashion and accessories label from Lisbon, Portugal, creating contemporary essentials through a slower, more considered approach to design.

Founded by fashion designer Sérgio Gameiro and graphic designer Filipe Cardigos, the brand brings together clean Portuguese design, responsible local production and a belief in owning fewer, better things. Rather than following seasonal trends, WETHEKNOT focuses on timeless pieces designed to be worn, used and appreciated for years.

Made in small quantities with an emphasis on quality, functionality and thoughtful material choices, WETHEKNOT offers Canadian retailers a distinctive alternative to mass-produced fashion: modern European design with a genuinely human approach to how things are made.

Mission

Quality over quantity. Design with intention.

WETHEKNOT creates timeless clothing and accessories while continually working toward a fairer and less wasteful fashion system.

By producing locally, sourcing thoughtfully and designing beyond seasons and short-lived trends, the brand encourages a more considered relationship with what we buy and keep.

Small Batch,

Made Close to Home

For WETHEKNOT, responsible production starts with knowing who makes each piece.

The brand works closely with a small network of skilled makers and production partners based in Almada and northern Portugal, relationships that in some cases have developed over many years. Clothing and accessories are produced locally through an ongoing collaborative process, allowing the brand to maintain close communication with its makers and high standards for both craftsmanship and social responsibility.
